Curio is a group speculative design project based in the year 2050. I worked on this project alongside Grace Brennan and Amy Caulfield. We imagined a future Ireland in which people struggle to disconnect from the technological world, and want to reconnect with the people and spaces around them.
Our response to this is Curio. Curio is a spatial installation present in community spaces, that light up with each human interaction. The Curio pieces are malleable and versatile, and can act as a meeting space, an event space or interactive play structures, depending on the needs and wants of the local community. Curio aims to light up your community and your daily life.
